One of the oldest Jain architecture, built in 1848AD, Hutheesing Jain temple is dedicated to the fifteen tirthankar of Jain’s- Dharamnath. A two storey structure is constructed out of white marble and is considered as one of the astonishing pieces of art in the city of Ahmedabad.
This Jain temple was built by a well known Jain merchant Seth Hutheesing, located near Delhi Gate in the city. The temple is structured with a vast dome, protruding porches on three sides with luminous decorated pillars, courtyards and arcades surrounded by fifty two shrines.
A 78ft Mahavir Stambha has been located in the entrance of this beautiful temple as an inspiration from acknowledged tower of Chittor, Rajasthan.
This prominent Jain temple is very popular for its convoluted carvings and profuse architectural plans, consequently making it a must-visit temple in the city of Ahmedabad.
