Ice-gola something that every age-group must have surely been addicted to!
Generally after dinner we like to go to some near-by ice-candy stall and order some rangeelacolourful grubby stick of delicious flavorsor ice-dishes. Khhata-meetha, rose-kacchikeri, chocolate-orange are the combinations one would generally prefer.
Small kids have their unique colored golas and enjoy the feeling of showing their mates their colorful mouth. Each one of us, whether teens or adults, have a taste of trying a different flavor and item every time we stand by golawala. Ya!! We do get strongly tempted by the aroma of the different tangs of cool ice golas, but we need to keep balance with our wants and needs.
But, such ice candy is extremely unhygienic, however tempting it may look, says experts. It is not very good for our health, especially for those who have sensitive immune system. The water they use for ice and the artificial sugar(saccharine) in the flavors, have adverse effect to our throat. Typhoid, jaundice, fever, flu etc. diseases attack us due to over consumption of this artificial sugar.
Some famous ice-golawalas every ahmedavadi must check out are- Gulab at Usmanpura, R.K golawala at university, mewad at law garden and commerece 6 roads, Kings Gola at Bodakdev and many more.
So a part of summer variety, one must surely drag yourself with some cool gang or a family retreat at some ice-golawala and enjoy that colorful stout sticks. But maintain a balance to not make it a daily habit!!!
Wish you colorful cool summer times!!!
