SEVA CAFÉ : Living is Giving

“Service” as the name says, Seva Café believes in volunteered service and brotherhood. It is an entirely new and incredible concept in the city. One of its kind, Seva brings together the citizens of Ahmedabad and creates an invisible bond amongst them. This isn’t any regular café where  you get into a café for food and some fun time and  end up paying hefty bills. This café  has a unique way of expressing generosity.

Seva Café aims to create a shift from consumption to contribution, transaction to trust, scarcity to abundance, and isolation to community. It is an experiment in the shared joy that comes from humble giving and selfless service. . It all works on the concept of “ Joy of Giving”, giving your time, your money or your help….everything counts!

The food is prepared by volunteers and  served with love, not to the customers but to the guests because  “Atithi Devo Bhava"  is what they believe in and  all the guests who visit Seva Café  extend this generosity to a stranger they don't even know and therefore this is how the  chain continues. And the food is absolutely delectable as the menu keeps on changing from pulav with dahi to pasta and watermelon juice to ice-cream.

They serve the first 50 walk-in guests and those who come after, can interact with the guests and volunteers. All costs and income are made transparent, and 100% of any profit is  used to support social service projects! Hope this chain of Generosity goes on forever.
